Obituary of Nina F Soper

Nina Florence (Green) Soper, 65, passed away peacefully at her daughters' residence in Apalachin NY on Friday January 4, 2019 after a seven-month battle with uterine cancer. Born May 7, 1953, in Johnson City, a daughter of the late Charles Green (September 21, 1974) and Mother Jean "Betty" Green (July 25, 2007). She was also predeceased by her sisters JoAnn Lashway (September 30, 1987), Sharon Green (July 1, 2007) and Susan Bentley (June 2018), and her great-nephew Seth Swindler (July 5, 2015). She is survived by her two beautiful daughters Beckie (Jeffrey) Ripic, Apalachin NY, and Jeana (Doug) O'Hara, Apalachin NY, her two grandson Evan 9 and Logan 4 who were without doubt the love of her life, her brother Richard (Patty) Green, Maine NY, sixteen nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. After 30 years, Nina retired from Endicott Johnson Corp in 2002 and again from Datrose Industries (Lockheed Martin-Owego) Dec 2016. She was a long-time member of the Endicott Eagles and enjoyed playing Bingo, going camping, bowling, taking road trips with her big brother, cross-stitching, family gatherings and most importantly spending time with her grandsons. During the summer she spent her Saturday evenings at Tri-County Microd track cheering on her oldest grandson Evan. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening January 9, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 at Coleman and Daniels Funeral home 300 E. Main Street, Endicott NY. Funeral services will follow at 6:00. Her daughters would like to thank Lourdes Hospice and their heart-felt staff for caring for their mother the past week and to Dr. Mary Cunningham and Lisa Wake at GYN Oncology, Syracuse, for her kindness and support during her four chemo treatments.
