Obituary of Wanda A. Fakelman

Wanda Fakelman (nee Kurkoski) Wanda Fakelman, 94, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 11, 2009. She was predeceased by her husbands, Thomas Zielinski and Martin Fakelman; her brothers, John Kurkoski, Stan Kurkoski, Joseph Kurkoski. She is survived by her son, Thomas Zielinski Jr. of Charlotte, NC; a granddaughter, Carol Hartis and husband, Richard of Hudson, NC; great-granddaughter, Catlynn of Hudson, NC; brothers, Henry Kurkoski Sr. and Vera of Endicott, Edward Kurkoski of Sparta, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. Wanda was born in Luzerne Mines, PA, and owned and operated the Neighborhood Restaurant on East Catherine St. in Binghamton for many years. The family would like to thank the excellent staff at Bridgewater Center for Rehab & Nursing for their many years of exceptional care. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 17, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Casimir RCC, 212 N. McKinley Ave., Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive their friends on Sunday, August 16, 2009, from 5-7 p.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in her memory. Eternal rest grant unto your servant, Wanda, O Lord.
