Obituary of Mary E Goida

Mary E. Goida of Endwell Mary E. Goida of Endwell passed away the morning of Thursday, September 3rd at United Methodist Homes after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband, Metro Goida; sister, Anna Cheer; and brother, Harry Johnston. She is survived by two children, Thomas Goida and his wife, Leslie of Windham, NH and Susan Goida of Boston, MA; and one grandchild, Stevie Marie Goida; cousins, Nicky Stathopoulos and Katherine Soutos; and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Endicott. She was a retired hairdresser and homemaker. She enjoyed shopping, painting and decorating. Special thanks to Herb and Marion Wegener, Mary Ann Goida, Don and Jackie Taylor, Steve and Maureen Taylor, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Michael McCarville and United Methodist Homes for their loving care of Mary. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott. Burial will follow in Riverhurst Cemetery, 2500 E. Main St., Endicott. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to one of the following: United Methodist Homes, 286 Deyo Hill Road, Johnson City, NY 13790; Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850; or American Cancer Society, 57 Front Street, Binghamton, NY 13905.
