Obituary of Jon C. Kennicutt

Jon C. Kennicutt of Apalachin Jon C. Kennicutt, loyal son, faithful husband and caring brother, 52, of Apalachin, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday September 3, 2009. He was predeceased by his mother, Joan C. Kennicutt; cousin, Dale Evans; grandparents, Margaret and Collins Clark, and Gladys and Philip Kennicutt. He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Charlene Kennicutt; his father, Boyd Kennicutt; sisters, Lori Kennicutt and Michelle Mead; an aunt, Marianne Evans; his cousins, Jay (Patti) Evans, Kyle (Lorene) Evans, Jeff (Jeanne) Kennicutt, and Ellen Kennicutt; a sister-in-law and her husband, Marlene and Steve Martin; brothers-in-law, Richard and Ronald Snyder; several nieces and nephews; and he will be especially missed by his loving companions, "Sneakers" and "Black Jack". Jon was an employee for the Town of Union for 25 years and was an active outdoorsman who loved living life to the fullest. He never slowed down until he virtually ran out of steam but it wasn't long after he got his rest that he was up and going again. Jon had a big heart and would help anybody and he will be greatly missed by everyone who ever met and knew him. Funeral services for Jon will be held on Tuesday September 8, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. from the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 765 Main St. Vestal, NY. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive their friends on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society or the Front Street Dog Shelter. "See ya"
