Stanton, 85, of Salisbury, NC and formerly of Endicott, went into the arms of her Lord, September 3rd with her family at her side singing her favorite hymns to her as she clutched her baby doll in her arms. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Clarence F. Stanton in 2004; and a baby girl who died prior to her birth; her parents, Lula (Bedford) and Vernon Mulnix; brothers, Robert Mulnix, Kenneth Mulnix, Carl Mulnix and Leon Mulnix. She is survived by her sons, Dale Stanton of Elmira, Terry Stanton of Endicott, Mark Stanton and his wife, Debbie of Salisbury, NC, and David Stanton of Endicott; the loves of her life, her grandsons, Corey and Wayne Stanton of Endicott, and Jeffrey Stanton of Salisbury, NC; her sister, Evelyn (Mulnix) Brewster and brother-in-law, James Brewster; a beloved aunt, Cora Smith; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Before moving to Salisbury, North Carolina in 2008 where she lived with her son, Mark and wife, Debbie and grandson, Jeffrey, Helen was an active member of Central United Methodist Church in Endicott. She was also a devoted member of Organ Lutheran Church while she lived in North Carolina. Helen's love in life was raising and caring for her children and grandbabies. She was also a nurse at Ideal Hospital in Endicott, along with other various jobs including working at IBM, caring for patients in their homes, and operated a greeting card and gift store. Helen enjoyed lifelong hobbies of oil painting, sewing, golf, sail boating and archery. In the last two years, she loved playing racing video games, WII sports games, helping gather toys for her grandson Jeffrey's toy charity and great excitement following all her grandson's racing. Her extreme generous and loving nature will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially her children, grandchildren and her many friends. Her last words were, "Tell them I love them and for them to make sure that they see me and their dad in Heaven." Helen's last years were cared for by her son, Mark and daughter-in-law, Debbie who spent day and night at her side enjoying the awesome gift of caring for her. Jeffrey was always a step away cutting up with his Grandma making sure she was happy and content learning about racing.
