Hope Meador Sornberger Hope Meador Sornbergerof EndicottHope Meador Sornberger, 79, of Endicott, died Wednesday morning, 10/1/08, at Ideal Senior Living Center, Endicott. She is survived by her husband, Ede Sornberger, Endicott; son, Daryl Sornberger, Buffalo, N.Y.; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Richard Bell, Muskegon, Mich.; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Vicky Sornberger, Endwell; grandchildren, Lindsay Sornberger, Brooklyn, N.Y., Lauren Sornberger, Brooklyn, N.Y., Michael Bell, Muskegon, Mich., Kendra Sornberger, Endwell, Corey Sornberger, Endwell. Hope graduated from Maury High School, Norfolk, Virginia in 1947 and attended Meredith College in 1948. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Endicott and a member of the church choir. She was a member of the Counseling Center, National Presbyterian Church, Washington, DC and Circle One First Presbyterian Women. She was an expert seamstress and needle art; instructor status tole painter; a gourmet cook; loved music and played the piano. Hope enjoyed camping, traveling, historic places and long drives in the countryside.A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, at the First Presbyterian Church, 29 Grant Ave., Endicott. The Rev. Janice Devine, pastor of the church, will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church Deacon's Fund, 29 Grant Ave., Endicott, N.Y. 13760; or to the Alzheimer's Association, 441 West Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, N.Y. 13204.
