Obituary of Sylvester Wilson

Sylvester Wilson III "For everything there is an appointed time. A time for birth and a time to die." Ecclesiastes 3:1-2. Sylvester peacefully entered into rest on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at age 57. He is predeceased by his father, Sylvester Wilson II; and his sister, Sandra Y. Butler-Lewis. He is survived by his loving mother, Doris E. Wilson, Endicott, NY; siblings, Lorraine J. (Delano) Vaughn, William A. (Alice) Wilson, Larry J. (Connie) Wilson, Curtis L. (April) Wilson, Cheryl L. Wilson, SSG Aaron D. (Angela) Wilson; and daughter, Ebony Wilson; also an abundance of nieces and nephews. Sylvester was born and raised in Newport News, VA, from where he later moved to Brooklyn, NY. Sylvester began his career at Social Services in New York City. He also proudly served for two years in the United States Army. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. The Rev. Arthur Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends 12:00 Noon to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
