Obituary of Marilyn S. Lilyea Horton

Marilyn Lilyea Horton, 87, born on June 30, 1933 in Penn Yan, NY and lived the past 63 years in Vestal, NY. She transitioned to Heaven on July 25, 2020. She is predeceased by her parents Simon and Alice (Gramling) Smith and her husband Carl V. Lilyea; her siblings Kenneth Smith, Irvin Smith and Irene DeMay; and step-daughter Rhonda Payne. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Roland Horton; her 5 children: Kevin (Sue) Lilyea, Karen (Gary) Price, Jim (Becky) Lilyea, John (Sloan) Lilyea, Bruce (Ann-Michele) Lilyea; her 3 step-children Wayne (Linda) Horton, Brad Horton and Kim (Larry) Dykes; her 19 grandchildren: Lauren (Chase) Cronin, Stephanie (Jared) Mycyk, Megan (Steve) Simpson, Timmy (Katlyn) Price, Matthew (Bethany) Young, Andrew (Keila) Price, Benjamin Price, Marcus Lilyea, Jessica Lilyea, Reagan Lilyea, Spencer Lilyea, Tyler Lilyea, Brandon Lilyea, Jacquelyn Lilyea, Julieanna Lilyea, Austin (Rachel) Lilyea, Blake Lilyea, Katie Lilyea, Cai Lilyea; and 5 great-grandchildren: Adelaide, Eli, Nora, Lucas and Landon. She loved her Savior, her family, her church, her friends, traveling, camping, hiking, baking, sewing, gardening, painting, birds, and taking pictures. On Monday, Aug 3, 2020, calling hours are 9 – 11 am, service 11 am at First Baptist Church, 40 Whig Ave, Newark Valley, NY. Burial at Riverside Cemetery, Marshland Rd, Apalachin, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ross Corners Christian Academy.
