Obituary of Marian L. Koffel

Endicott - On the 17th of December our loving Mother, grandmother and great grandmother Marian Koffel went to meet her Lord and Savior. At last she's back dancing in the arms of her beloved husband, soul mate and best friend George who pre-deceased her on Christmas Eve of 1999. Marian was also pre-deceased by her father Allen Ockenhouse Sr. in 1965, her papa William Sterling in 1992, her mother Marion Ockenhouse-Sterling in 2005 and her great grandson Andrew Edward in 2015. Surviving are her precious daughters Saundra Denmon (Gary), Debra Austin, (Bill Seidel) and Lisa Battaglini, ten grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren all of whom were the lights of her life. She is also survived by her brother Allen Ockenhouse Jr, his wife Sandra and their children. Marian sang in the church choir, school choirs most of her life and for many years with George as he played the accordion in his Happy Jacks band. She adored her family, her flowers beds and was an avid reader. As the daughter of a WWII vet she was a proud member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1700 and its chaplain for many years. Also, a life member of VFW Auxiliary Post 1449. The family will receive friends at the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, LLC 300 East Main St, Endicott Wednesday from 4-7PM. Services will be private, and Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Endicott in the Spring.
