Obituary of Ernest Nelson Bryant

Ernest (Ernie) Bryant passed into the arms of his Lord on April, 17, 2021 at the age of 90. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Nelson and Cerilla Bryant and son-in-law Steven Earley. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of 68 years. He is also survived by his two daughters, Jeffrae Ann Earley (Winterhaven, Florida) and Dianne Marie Morales (Endicott, NY), his four grandchildren, Matthew Sullivan, Jamie Palm, Joshua Earley, and Hannah Bryant, his three great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jude, and Brianna as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Ernie was a graduate of Broome Community College and a veteran of the Korean War. He retired after 34 years with the defense supply agency as a Division Chief of Quality Assurance including duty stations in General Electric, Johnson City, NY, Singer-Link, Binghamton, NY and IBM, Owego, NY. He was an amateur radio operator (WA2WTS) and a member of the Continentals Fife and Drum Corps. Ernie enjoyed playing golf and camping. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. The viewing will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 11am- 12pm at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St. Endicott, NY 13760 with the service following. Burial will be at Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Twin Tiers Honor Flight and Local Cancer Society.
