Obituary of Marion A Darrow

Marion Anthony (Tony) Darrow, 87, of Endicott, NY, passed away on May 21, 2021, with his family by his side. Marion grew up in Jamestown, NY, the fourth of six children of small business owners. He completed a four-year Korean-War-era tour of duty in the US Navy before earning degrees from Jamestown Community College and the University of Arizona. Thereafter, he returned to his home state of New York, spending much of his 40+-year career as an electrical engineer with IBM. He held a pilot's license and a black belt in karate, and was an avid skier, ice skater, golfer, whistler, and steward of nature who enjoyed the outdoors year round. His kind heart and gentle optimism were exemplified by his devotion to his family, as well as by the attention he gave to the children and animals that came into his life. He is survived by his loving wife Roselyn, their children, Stephen and Jonathan, his brother David (Mary), his sisters-in-law Anne and Shirley, and numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours (9-9:45AM) and a funeral mass (10AM) will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Our Lady of Good Counsel church in Endicott. Donations in Marion's memory may be made to OLGC church.
