Obituary of Marilyn W. Peltz

Marylyn Halstead Peltz of Vestal NY, age 88 passed away peacefully after being ill for sometime. Marylyn was the daughter of Frank and Grace (Rude) Halstead and was born on April 30, 1933. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Harford High school, class of 1952. Marylyn is preceded in death by her husband Donald (Dutch) Peltz, her parents, her brother Paul Halstead and his wife Charlotte. Marylyn married her husband Donald on March 20, 1954 at the Methodist church in Uniondale PA. The had 62 years together, spending many happy times traveling, camping, fishing, and seeing the country. Marylyn is survived by her 2 children, daughter Penny married to Jeff Treadwell, her grandson Thomas, her son Bill married to Renee (Bryan). Marylyn is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, her sister-in-laws Vivian, Virginia, Patty, Judy, and Judy. Marylyn's final message was " I love you all." Marylyn worked for Kroehlers in Binghamton during the 1950s, she was a cub scout den mother, and an avid bowler. Gardening was her passion. Marylyn enjoyed working in her flower gardens all around her home. Cardinals and Humming birds where her favorite birds and we will think of her when they visit. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, any donation can be made to the American Cancer Society. Burial will be in the Vestal Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
