Obituary of Richard D. Ellis

Richard D. Ellis of Vestal Richard D. Ellis, age 67, of Vestal, NY, passed away on Tuesday the 3rd of November at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, following an extended illness. He is predeceased by his father, Douglas V. Ellis; and survived by his mother, Betty J. Ellis; his wife, Joyce Ellis; daughters, Denise and her husband, Kevin Reilly, Mrs. Darcy Helbig, Lacey and her husband, Richard Murray, Joy and her husband, Tony Sims, Brittany Ellis, Eileen and her husband, Larry Traver, Theresa and her husband, John Hadix; and a son, Richard "RJ" Ellis; two brothers, William Ellis and Douglas V. Ellis Jr.; and a sister, Gloria and her husband, William Gow; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday afternoon the 16th of November at the Methodist Church, 843 Pennsylvania Avenue in Little Meadows, Pennsylvania. There will be food served immediately following the service. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in his name to the Vestal Center Volunteer Fire Department, Company Number 2, where he was a member for many years.
