Obituary of Stephen M. Stoddard

Stephen M. Stoddard, 59, of Port Crane, NY (formerly of Vestal, NY) went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 18th after a brief bout with cancer at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, NY. Stephen was predeceased by his parents, Byron and Verna Stoddard of Vestal, and his nephew, Matthew Kuehling. His is survived by his wife, Beth Stoddard, his daughter and son-in-law, Danielle (Stoddard) and Doug Maushardt, granddaughters, Leela and Charlie of San Diego, CA., his step-children, Benjamin (Ashly), Andrew (Jackie), Clarissa and Timothy Daghita, grandson, Casey, sisters, Cindy (Gerry) Couch, Bonnie (Robbie) Ashley, Linda Kuehling, Julie (Tom) Womer, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Stephen was a former military serviceman, serving his country in the United States Navy (1979-1996) including service on the USS Kitty Hawk, USS Theodore Roosevelt, USS Savannah, USS John C. Stennis, and tug boat captain of the Edenshaw. Stephen was also a former over-the-road truck driver, teamster, pipeline worker, and most recently delivering fuel for Economy Heating. Stephen loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of North Fenton Baptist Chapel in Chenango Forks, NY. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 24th at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home LLC., 765 Main Street, Vestal, NY. The family will receive friends from 11am until Noon at which time the service will begin.
