Dear Melissa and family —
My husband, Mike, and I are deeply sorry for your truly overwhelming loss. We often met Nate when visiting my sister and brother-in-law, Deb and Steve, during their July 4th extravaganzas.
Sudden, totally unexpected loss is something our family has recently experienced and it has left us reeling. I can only hope that there will come a time for you and your daughters that, when remembering Nate, it will not be accompanied by crushing sorrow. It will take time — perhaps a very long time — before your hearts have healed enough. Lean on those who have asked what they can do.
No time on earth is long enough to spend with those we love, or to prepare ourselves for the last goodbye. We wish you peace.
Sincerely,
Mary and Mike Kranz Mike

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I remember seeing Nate often when I was at SP Owego and bringing him a "customer" to the jail. He was always pleasant an easy to work with. May he rest in peace....W. Standinger III

I have known Nate for the past 15 years both professionally and personally. I am grateful for the companionship and friendship that we have shared in this world , it is not so common to find a friend you can confide in , and share life experience's with, we have a small core group of individuals that were blessed enough to share that. We talked, we yelled, we laughed , and yes sometimes we cried, but we did all of this together , and never left one of our own untouched. Thank you brother for all we have shared, god took one of the good ones from us, way too soon, your buddy , Jimbo

i knew Nate as a 21 year-old skinny punk! i watched him grow, and work his way up the ladder at the Tioga County Jail Division. he hated being called "Nathaniel"...so of course i always called him that...i believe i was probably the only one who could get away with it! my condolences to Melissa and daughters, his parents and sibling, and rest of his family and friends. God Bless you all!!!

Farewell, my old friend. Some of my fondest memories are of you, me, Bradley and Phillip living free and causing trouble on the farm. You'll be sorely missed.
