Obituary of Joseph Edward Troshan

Joseph E. Troshan, Sr., 87, of Apalachin, died on October 7, 2021. Joe was born in Schuylkill County, PA, to Jozef Troshan and Anna (Beserchak) Troshan. He grew up in Shenandoah, PA, with his sisters, Helen and Theresa. Joe was predeceased by his loving wife, Maureen, and his beloved sister, Helen Brennan. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his sons Andrew, Stephen (Pamela), and Joseph Jr., grandson Joseph Bernard, and his beloved sister Theresa Samkavitz. Joe served in the Navy during the Korean war, 1952 – 1955. He spent most of his career with IBM. Joe was an avid drummer, loved polkas, loved to play golf, loved going to church, and above all, he loved his family. The family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm followed by a memorial prayer service at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 6519 NY-434, Apalachin, on Saturday, October 23. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no luncheon.
