Obituary of Frank J Dabrovolskis

Frank J Dabrovolskis passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2022 at UHS Wilson Memorial Hospital after a brief illness surrounded by family and the thoughts and prayers of friends. Frank was born on May 7th,1949 the only child of Francis and Victoria Dabrovolskis. He graduated from Johnson City High School and went on to earn an Associate's degree from Broome Tech. Frank played basketball for the Johnson City Wildcats and the Broome Tech Hornets. He went on to referee basketball at the High School level. He loved to play golf, fish, and hunt. He was a true outdoorsman. After college Frank began a long career with IBM and later Lockheed Martin where he worked for 38 years and made lifelong friendships. He married his wife Suzanne in 1971 and enjoyed 50 years of marriage together. Frank was a member of the American Legion. He was a devoted member of The Church of the Holy family. A member of The Holy Name Society. He enjoyed volunteering weekly at Mercy House of the Southern Tier. Most of all Frank was devoted to his family. He was predeceased by his infant son Ryan, his parents Francis and Victoria, and his in laws Douglas and Evelyn Aton. Frank is survived by his devoted wife Suzanne; his sons Jason and Matthew; his daughter Beth Ann (Oliver); and four beautiful grandchildren, as well as his loving extended family and friends. Frank was always quick with a joke to cheer you up, and was always willing to lend anyone a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Frank's memory to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 North McKinley Ave, Endicott, NY 13760. Calling hours will be at 10am followed immediately by a funeral mass on Thursday January 13th, 2022 at The Church of the Holy Family located at 3600 Phyllis Ave in Endwell, NY. The family kindly requests that all who attend the service please wear a mask.
