Obituary of Steven L. Post

Steve's faith became sight when he left his physical body and stepped into the very presence of his loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 12:28 PM. Steve was a faithful, loving husband to Mary, just shy of 52 years. Their anniversary was March 7. He was an extraordinary Dad to his daughter and 3 sons. His life was a testament to his family of a Godly lifestyle. Steve Post Jr. (Emily), Karen Rising (Jer), Chad Post and James Post (Bethlehem). He was a special Grandpa to 15 Grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Steve loved his God, his family, and his country. He served in the USAF. He worked at Singer Link and then IBM. He ended his career with EIT. He was a member at Newark Valley Baptist church and more recently Community Baptist church serving the Lord in many different areas. He dearly loved his Pastors and brother and sisters in Christ. He loved fast pitch softball and baseball. He played on the AF team and on the church team, pitching the ball over 90 miles an hour. The Yankees were his team...always! John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, He gave His only Son, whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life." A celebration of life will be held at First Baptist of Newark Valley. 40 Whig St., Newark Valley, NY 13811 On Friday, March 11th family will receive friends from 11 AM until Noon. Followed directly by Military honors and celebration of life.
