Obituary of Katherine Messersmith

Katherine Smith (Schramm) Messersmith of Vestal Katherine Smith (Schramm) Messersmith, 79, of Vestal, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, December 7, 2009. Katherine was predeceased by her husband, Ivan C. Messersmith; son, Thomas "TJ" Schramm; sister, Helen Slocum; and brother, Harry "Bud" Smith. She is lovingly survived by her children, Patricia Schramm, Philip (Carol) Schramm, Dana Kipp, Mary (William) Ziegler, John David (girlfriend, Karen), Jon Scott (Jill) Schramm and Elizabeth (John) Konecny; along with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Giblin. Katherine's family wishes to hold a private service. They simply request that all who knew her hold those fond memories close to heart. Arrangements are by the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Endicott.
