Obituary of Thomas E. Luciano
Thomas Edward Luciano of Vestal, NY, passed away quietly at home on April 3, 2022, after a brief illness.
Tom was a quiet soul with deep regard for underdogs of all walks of life - humans and animals alike. As a testament to his quiet humility and lifelong commitment to sports, he most prized the trophies he won in his beloved sport of basketball for free-throw shooting— which exemplified quiet, unselfish discipline.
Tom was a treasured son, brother, uncle, and friend whose innocence, great heart, and courage will be missed forever. He and his late brother Charlie were devoted to one another and now are reunited and celebrating an unparalleled sibling bond.
He was a graduate of Vestal High School and attended Jefferson Community College.
He was preceded in death by his sister Julie Luciano, brother Charles Luciano, brother Daniel Luciano and parents Guy and Margaret Luciano. Tom is survived by siblings Catherine (Joseph) Harasta of Mesquite, TX, Robert (Radica) Luciano of Warwick, RI, Betsy (Kevin) Russell of Montgomery, TX and Constance Luciano Bryceland of Albuquerque, NM.
Tom is also survived by his sister-in-law, Cheryl Luciano; nieces Lindsey, Stephanie, Valerie, Lisa, Rekha, and nephew Michael, an aunt, many cousins, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Tom was devoted to caring for abandoned animals, and went out of his way to nurture a stray cat in recent months. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to an animal rescue organization you respect and trust.
