Endicott - Gerald M. Smith, 94, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2022. Jerry was born December 5, 1927, to parents Francis and Gertrude Smith in Forest City, PA. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Mary; his children Gerri Smith, Owego; Tom (Lydia) Smith, Nichols; Patrick (Christine) Smith, Annapolis, MD; and Mary (Steve) Shunk, Willow Springs, NC; 8 grandchildren, daughter-in-law Jeanne Spleen, Wexford, PA; and brother-in-law Thomas Kilpatrick, Apalachin. Sons Francis and Michael have joyfully reunited with him in heaven.

Jerry served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a member and usher at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Endicott. Jerry retired from IBM Owego in 1985 after more than 27 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting and playing golf and spending time with his family.

The family would like to thank neighbors and friends Susan, David, Jackie, Michelle, Shawn, Lisa, Marie, Mike, Ken, Tonya and Wen who have so selflessly helped with everything. We can never thank you enough.

A Funeral Service (masks required) will be held on Friday at 11am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Endicott .The family will receive friends at the Church Friday from 10-11 AM.
