Obituary of William A. Yager

William A. Yager, 93, of Endwell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Mercy House in Endicott, NY. Bill was predeceased by his parents; Leo and Helen Yager, step-mother, Winifred Yager, and his nephew, Johnny Kitchen. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Jean Yager, three sons; Bruce (Diane) Yager, Scott (Karen) Yager, Russell Yager and girlfriend Rachel Haines, grandchildren; Evan Yager (Joanna), Laura Lee Holly, Jessica Hayko (Andrew), great grandchildren; Greyden and Maggie, Savannah and Audrey, Kaylease, Kiara and Kamya, nieces, Beth Ann, Susan, Jackie, and Mary, and beloved cat Cali. Bill served in the US Navy on USS Sarsfield DD837 and USS Leary DD879. He was discharged in 1948 as 3rd Class Petty Officer. He started his apprenticeship at Endicott Printing in 1948 with his mom Winifred. Bill worked 23 years as an employee and in 1971, became the owner and ran the business with his wife Jean for 24 years. He retired turning the business over to Bruce and his wife Diane. Bill loved to hunt and fish. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
