Ken (Burby) and I were in the same class in the IBM Toolmaker Apprentice program and forged a strong friendship working together and having many similar interests, One bond was that we were both 'Tech men' both having graduated from the same college, he when it was still State Tech, and I when it had partnered with the county and become Broome Tech. I remember well the Willys Wildfire he had that got 'backed into'. I have the picture of it and tried to attach it here. Ken retired a couple of years before I did and Gail and I had moved back home near Sacandaga Lake and lost track but got together at Boulevard Diner for lunch and a catch-up going over some of the memories a few years ago. Thrilled that Ken had also become a Christian.
I just got to thinking about him the other day and wondered if he were still living and found out searching for his obit that he had passed. I remember his fun-loving disposition and ready chuckle. Good friend, and I'm better for having known him.
