Obituary of Michael B Baratta

Michael Bernard Baratta (85) of Apalachin, NY, passed away on July 8, 2022, He was born on November 26, 1936, to the late Emilio and Lena (Gagliardi) in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He was employed with I.B.M. for 36 years, then continued his career at Datrose Inc. for 22 years. For 50 years, Michael proudly served in many roles for the Apalachin Lions Club and ultimately served as the District Governor. He also played a major role at the Lions Camp Badger. He is predeceased by brothers Joseph (Doris), Carmen (Agnes), and John, in addition to nephew Gerald, and niece Corrine. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, best friend, and wife of 63 years, Ann Marie (Heiser) Rest of My Life I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with you. And then I realized you spent the rest of your life with me. I smile because I know you loved me till the day you went away and will keep loving me till the day we're together again Michael leaves behind his children Michael Jr. (Karen Ovens), Annette (Richard) McPherson, Thomas (Gail), David (Jennifer), and Stephen (Jeannie). His many grandchildren Michael III (Sarah), Dominic (Kelly), Kenny (Bonnie), Kala, Abby, Lily, Elliott, Ruby, Katelynn and great grandchildren Gavin, Bella, Judah, Katie, Galen, Gemma, Owynn will all cherish the loving memories of their Pop-Pop. He is also survived by his beloved sister Rosemary (John) Novak. In all he accomplished in his God gifted 85 years, he was most successful at being a loving husband, wonderful father and proud grandfather and great grandfather. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday July 14, 2022, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main St, Endicott, NY13760 followed by service at Riverhurst Cemetery.
