Obituary of James L. Rossi

James L. Rossi, Sr., 74 of Endicott died peacefully at home on Sunday, July 10, 2022 after a brief battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis which was associated with his tour of duty defending his country in the Vietnam War. Jim was predeceased by his grandparents, his parents, John and Beverly Rossi, and his brothers, Gary and Ronnie Rossi. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Colleen, his daughter, Jennifer (Aaron) Cass, his son James Jr., (Lisa), his sister, Sharon Rossi, his sister-in-law, Donna Bolson, his brother-in-law, John Belpulsi, and granddaughters, Jaime and Maecy Rossi and Kathy and Melody Cass and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. He was a graduate of Union-Endicott High School (1967). After high school, he served in the United States Airforce gaining the rank of Sergeant while defending his country in the Vietnam War before he earned an honorable discharge. Jim (Doc) worked for Hancor Inc. for 35 years. In his 74 years, Jim loved cooking and gardening. He enjoyed attending local hockey games with his mom and brother-in-law. He was a big fan of the NY Mets, Syracuse University sports, and the NY Giants, especially tailgating at MetLife Stadium but, most of all, he loved his family and watching his granddaughters grow. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 5:00-7:00 pm at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home located at 300 East Main Street, Endicott. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 West Main Street, Endicott. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
