Franklin E. Tinklepaugh of Endicott
Franklin E. Tinklepaugh, 68, of Endicott, went to be with the Lord Monday, December 21, 2009, at the Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center after a 4 year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Maria (Giglio) Tinklepaugh of Endicott; 3 children, Franklin D. and wife, Renee Tinklepaugh, Robert C. and wife, Isabel Tinklepaugh, and Laura Tinklepaugh, all of Endicott; 7 grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Christopher, Sarah, Ava, Cole and Cooper. He is survived by a brother, Irving Tinklepaugh; 2 sisters, Kathleen Tinklepaugh and Delores Liddic; several nieces and nephews. He was a retired employee of IBM Endicott with 33 years of service; a veteran of the US Army, serving with the 7th army; an employee of the Endicott AGWAY; a member of the Sons of Italy of Endicott, and also the Tioga Sportsman Association for over 20 years. The family would like to thank the Roswell Park Bone Marrow Transplant Program, Dr. Ronald Harris and his staff at Broome Oncology, the Wilson Hospital South Tower 5 Oncology staff, and Dr. James Holler of Endwell Family Physicians for their loving care of Franklin. His family wants to thank Frank for being the best daddy, husband, grandfather and father-in-law ever. He will be forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Mass will be offered Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday morning from 9 a.m. until service time at 11. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Memorial Fund of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 W. Main St., Endicott, NY 13760. Arrangements are by the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, Inc., 300 E. Main St., Endicott.
