Obituary of Richard J. Goodnough

Richard J. Goodnough, 75, of Vestal, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 5th, 2022 at Vestal Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, under their loving care and after a long battle against Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He was predeceased by his wife Donna Goodnough of 55 years. He is survived by his son Jeff Goodnough-children Dylan and Sophie. Daughter Jill Goodnough and child Ruby Goodnough. Brother John Goodnough, sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews. "Goody" was a career shoe dog who started at Endicott Johnson in 1968 while in the Army Reserves. Dick stuck with the shoe industry for another 40+ years. He was a hockey fan and played for several years. He was always full of sarcastic humor and jokes. People loved his nicknames that he had for every person he met! Some of his hobbies were model railroading with help from his brother Jack and building birdhouses out of repurposed materials and garden tools. The family will receive friends at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E.
