Obituary of Edna Hotaling

Edna Johns Hotaling, 88, passed away at Wilson Hospital on October 19, 2022. Edna was predeceased by her parents, Earl Johns and Elizabeth Conklin Johns, and her siblings, Raymond Johns and Jean Johns Biggs. She is survived by her children, Steven (Lisa) Hotaling of North Carolina and Alain Jacon of Vestal. She is also survived by grandchildren Nick Hotaling, Alan Jacon and John Jacon IV, nephews/nieces Martin (Joann) Biggs of North Carolina, Mark (Lauri) Biggs of Mississippi, Judith Johns and Daren (Lisa) Johns and many great-grandchildren and great-nephews/nieces. Edna grew up in Binghamton and started her career as a telephone operator. She then worked in telecommunications at IBM for 32 years, mostly in Owego. She enjoyed traveling, going to many countries as well as all 50 states. She loved to tend her beautiful flower garden and spend time with family and friends. Burial will be at the family's convenience.
