I met Sarge one day many years ago at a local watering hole completely by chance. We sat next to each that day, a conversation started and a long friendship began. At first mostly about our military service, Vic in the Army and Air Force and me in the Navy and later our mutual love of sports. I will miss our annual tradition of watching the Army - Navy game. Those years when Navy beat Army almost every year Vic would always say see you next year and as it should be Army beat Navy the last couple years we were able to share that time together. I will miss my friend Vic, a good man with a gentle soul and a lion's heart.
