Obituary of Sara Giordano

Sara Giordano of Endicott Beloved wife and mother, Sara Giordano, departed this life on December 29, 2009. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. G. Thomas Giordano; her parents, Dr. Beniamino Fodera and Armida Rossi Fodera; her nephew, James Giordano; her niece, Frances Malloy; her cousin and best friend, Renza Jaus. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Vincent and Norryce Giordano, and Thomas and Catherine Giordano; her grandchildren, Regina Giordano, Laura (John) Martin, Thomas Joseph (Kelly) Giordano, John (Brenda) Giordano, V. Christopher Giordano; her great-grandchildren, Lauren, Baxter, Kaci, Sara, Felix, Emily, and Gabriel. Born and educated in Italy she graduated from the University of Rome with a Doctorate in Philosophy and Pedagogy. While there she met and married her husband and they came to Endicott to begin their lifelong journey. She was an active member of her community participating in many organizations including the University Women's Club, the Medical Auxiliary of Ideal Hospital, the Auxiliary of Wilson Memorial Hospital, the Palm Beach Medical Society, the Shakespeare Club of Endicott, and was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Endicott. Funeral arrangements will be provided by Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home. By her request, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the UHS Pediatric Dept. or the charity of one's choice.
