She was a dedicated nurse, working in many areas of care – the OR, pediatrics, maternity and finally many years of Psych nursing. Karen was a wonderful daughter and took excellent care of her parents in their later years when her nursing skills were very needed. She was a fantastic sister and was a kind and generous person. She loved baking, reading, bird watching, sitting outside enjoying the neighborhood, and had a special relationship with her 'niece' – cat, Tessa. The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Point Rehab and Nursing Center, especially the staff on North 2 and the rehab staff on N1, who were always patient, kind and very caring in their treatment of Karen and her family. They made a difficult time easier, and their care was so very appreciated.
