Obituary of Frank R. Prentice
Frank R. Prenticeof Endwell
Frank R. Prentice, 90, of Endwell, went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 1, 2008, after a long illness. He was born January 8, 1918 and was the son of Flora and Myron Prentice, Itaska, N.Y. He was predeceased by his brothers, Ray, Ralph, Clair and Fay; and sister, Mable. He is survived by his wife, Velma, Binghamton; a sister, Margaret Gill, Windsor; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Pat, Spring, Texas; daughter, Judith, Tulsa, Okla.; son, David, Tampa, Fla.; and son, Eric, Forty Fort, Pa.; ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a loyal friend, J.R. Craft. The family lived in Maine and Newark Valley for several years. Frank retired from I.B.M. after 32 years. He worked in Union Center Christian Church several years and did handyman jobs. Frank served with the U.S. Army in Nome, Alaska during WWII.
In keeping with Frank's and Velma's wishes, a private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. The Rev. Tim Dodd will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Castle Cemetery. Arrangements are by Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott, N.Y.
