Obituary of William F. Laibe

William ("Bill") F. Laibe died on March 24, 2023, at the age of 92. Born in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late William Laibe and Marion (Coppock) Laibe. He was predeceased by his wife Phyllis Ann Laibe; his daughter Mary Ann (Laibe) Kirchheimer; and his brother Robert Laibe. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven W. and Debra D. Laibe of New Smyrna Beach, FL, and John D. and Cheryl A. Laibe of Vestal, NY. Additional survivors include four grandchildren, Daniel (& Heather) Kirchheimer, Kevin (& Katelyn) Kirchheimer, Erin (& Justin) Irizarry, and Amber Laibe; and five great-grandchildren. Bill had been employed by General Electric in Schenectady, NY and Johnson City, NY for 40 years. He was an active member of the Vestal United Methodist Church and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels of Western Broome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Vestal United Methodist Church (328 Main St, Vestal, NY 13850) or Foundation Methodist Church (3505 Vestal Parkway East, Vestal, NY 13850). A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
