Obituary of Dawn R. Garofalo

Dawn R. Garofalo 77, of Endicott, NY passed away on March 26, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Dawn worked several jobs in her lifetime. The majority of her time was as a Quality Control Inspector for GE/BAE Systems. Retiring after 29 years, she enjoyed traveling and in most recent years "Glamping" at Pine Cradle Lake. She visited Aruba, Dominican Republic, and Florida. She cruised to Alaska and most recently to Bermuda. Dawn was a loving, giving, faithful, and hardworking person. There was never any task she could not find a way to accomplish. Time spent with family and friends was most important. That always meant her cooking and baking her favorite Italian meals, which was enjoyed by all. She is predeceased by her parents, siblings: Phyllis, William, and Noreen, nephew, Michael, and the father of her children Robert Garofalo Jr. Dawn is survived by her children, Nadine Garofalo and Robert Garofalo Jr., her only grandchild, Christina Garofalo, whom she loved with her whole being. Niece, Debbie (Ken) Zunic (Maine, NY), nephews; Kenny (Lansdale, PA), Daniel, and Mickey Zunic (Maine, NY). Brother-in-law, James Standridge (Florida), brother and sister-in-law, Dominick and Madeline Garofalo (Clinton, NY). Special nieces and nephews: Cindy Taylor and James Standridge Jr (Florida), Denise (Patrick) Lynch (Syracuse), Dana Laszewski (New Hampshire), and Dominick (Carolanne) Garofalo (Virginia), and many cousins and friends. Her special fur babies Angel and Lucky who will miss her terribly. We wish to especially thank Dr. Alen DeMaine, May Gumble RN, and the Lourdes Hospice staff for all their support and guidance through this final journey. Father Clarence Rumble for his compassion and spiritual support. Her special work and camp friends who always kept in touch. Also, her longtime sidekick, Martha Martin who provided support and laughter to all. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Most Holy Rosary Church, Maine, NY, on Saturday April 1, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
