Obituary of James D. Quigley
James D. Quigley of Endicott, New York.
Beloved husband, caring father, and devoted son, James D. Quigley passed away unexpectantly on May 6, 2023, at the age of 79. He was surrounded by his loving family. Jim was predeceased by his parents Jack and Alta Quigley. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Janice (Williams) Quigley and daughters Jill Quigley Knorr (Paul) and Julia Quigley.
Jim was born at Ideal Hospital in 1943 and graduated from Union Endicott High School where he was a member of the football team. He worked for many years in the beverage and construction industries. He worked and volunteered at the B.C. Open, now the Dick's Open, since its inception and received the Volunteer of the Year award in 2014. Jim was the most caring, honest, and hardest-working man you could meet.
Above all, he cared deeply for his family and friends and was always eager to help others. He put everyone else first and took wonderful care of his adoring family. He loved spending time with his family at his lake home in Brackney, PA, but would rarely be relaxing. Instead, he could be found out and about on his tractor. He loved a good project and was always excited to help his girls with their next crazy idea. We are heartbroken and will miss him every day.
The family will hold a celebration of Jim's life over the summer. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad, Inc., 8 S. Avenue B, Endwell, NY 13760 in Jim's memory.
