Obituary of Hope J. Corson
Hope Josephine Corson, 85, passed away peacefully at Bradford County Manor on May 10, 2023.
She was predeceased by her husband of over 30 years, John Edward "Eddie" Corson, her parents Henry and Amanda Billings, Brothers William, Harold, John & Fred, Sisters Martha, Faith & Joy, and her son Earl Henry Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Robbin Lee Smith (Diane) Binghamton, NY, son Thaddeus John Corson (Kathleen) of Choconut, PA, Four special grandchildren, Terry Perry, Samantha Short, Jared and Kadin Corson, a brother Albert "Jake" Billings (Beverly), Sister in Law Gertrude Billings, several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Danby, NY and moved to Willet, NY where she grew up on a farm. She later moved to Choconut, PA where she raised her family. She was employed by Endicott Johnson for over 40 years. After retiring from Endicott Johnson, she worked at IBM and Westcode for several years. She attended First Baptist Church in Johnson City, NY. She enjoyed gardening, was a member of the local garden club, and could most often be found working in her yard and flower beds. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and meant the world to her. She will always be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
