Harold Paul Dombert, 74, left this earth at the same place he entered it in a tragic accident on his family farm, Windward Hills, in Endicott, NY on May 26, 2023. Harry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kim, and their sons and significant others, Jake and Alden Maiolo (Bethel, NC) and Luke and Cara Hannigan (Athens, PA). Harry was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth "Jake" and Mary Ann Dombert, who trusted him to carry on as steward to their family legacy, as well as his oldest brother, Jerry. He is survived by his siblings – twin, Howie (Nancy), his sister, Judy (Ed) Wilson, sister-in-law, Dorothy Dombert, his nephews – Matthew (Laurie) Wilson and Brent (Lisa) Wilson, his nieces – Jody (John) Fargnoli, Kristen (Rick) Stefano and Kelly Allen. His great nephews – Bennett and Jack Wilson, Teddy Wilson, and Jared (Abbie) Allen. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Yvonne Pollard, brother-in-law, Tim (Theresa) Pollard, sister-in-laws – Mindy (Mike) Brown (and their children, Talgat and Aygul), and Susan (Jake) Vroman. Harry also leaves behind his beef cows, chickens, horse and dog, Jackson who was his constant companion. Harry was drafted into the USMC and served during Vietnam, he was employed at Hickory Hall, IBM Corporation and retired from Lockheed Martin. He graduated from Union-Endicott High School (1967), served in the USMC during Vietnam and graduated from Broome Tech. Harry was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Skyline Corral, Maine Mavericks, Triple Cities Ski Club where he had already renewed his Greek Peak season pass and was part of the Shelley's morning coffee club. Harry embodied what it was to be a good neighbor and had never met a stranger in his life. He supported his boys not only in becoming the wonderful young men they are, but in their success of becoming Eagle Scouts, followed all their athletic conquests, encouraged their love of nature in hunting, fishing and appreciating the great outdoors. Our family would like to thank the Campville Emergency squad and all the family, friends, and neighbors who have surrounded us with support and love during this time of need. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make donations to either the Campville Emergency Squad or the Boy Scouts of America. Follow Harry's mantra to take the time to enjoy the company of those you love and the beautiful outdoors. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home LLC located at 300 E. Main Street in Endicott, NY. Services will be private for the family.
