Obituary of Ruth J McNeil

Ruth J. McNeil, 85, beloved mother and grandmother, peacefully passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023. She is predeceased by her parents, Alfred J. Truax and Florence E. Brigham Truax Barden; husband Charles V. McNeil; brother Raymond H. Truax; and daughter Lisa L. McNeil. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia L. Klensk, Endwell; daughter and son in law, Lora and Allan Johnson, Johnson City; 4 grandsons, Erik Johnson and Stephanie Zhang, Roselle, NJ, Kevin Johnson and Christina Caragine, Hartsdale, NY, Brian Johnson, Stuttgart, Germany, Thomas Klensk Jr., Vestal; and loving partner for over 25 years, George Goss, Willseyville. Ruth enjoyed family gatherings and camping at Bluegrass Festivals. Seeing everyone's pets always made her smile. She was an avid gardener with a stunning collection of flowers, which she loved to share in bouquets. She also enjoyed making seasonal floral arrangements, wreaths and decorating for all the holidays. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 15, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, Endicott, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the Broome County Humane Society, or plant a tree in her memory.
