Obituary of Phillip Card, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phillip Card Sr. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday July 17th. He is predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Lula Card, and one son, Gregory Card. He has left behind his loving wife, Dorothy. They would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on August 8. He also leaves behind three sons and one daughter, Phillip Card Jr., Jeffrey Card, Kevin Card and Rebecca Card Fletcher. He has eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, who will miss him greatly. He is survived by two brothers and two sisters, Robert, Allen, Nancy, and Joyce. He was a member of the Endicott Sertoma Club. He helped create the TOYS club (Tractors of Yesteryears), as well as the Southern Tier Antique Tractor club. With these groups he helped provide fresh vegetables to the local food banks. Phil is more well known for having opened Phil's Chicken House in 1965. He brought delicious rotisserie chicken to the community. He several locations over the years, the main location being in West Corners. He retired from the chicken business in 2007, his son, Kevin, took ownership to continue bringing delicious food to the area. Calling hours will be this Friday, July 21, 2023 between the hours of 10am and 12pm at Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home on Main St. in Endicott. A PRIVATE family service following at the cemetery.
