Obituary of Charlene M. Cherry

Charlene M. Cherry Charlene M. Cherry of Apalachin Charlene M. Cherry, 63, of Apalachin, went peacefully to be with her lord and Savior on January 24, 2010 in Troy, PA. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Cherry; her parents, Charles and Leola Cafferty; three brothers and three grandsons. She is survived by her children: her son, Scott Cherry; daughter, Rebecca Birmingham; and sons, Gregory Cherry and Dean Cherry; two sisters, Sandy Halfmann and Marlyce Myers; four granddaughters and one grandson; her special friends, Pam Hart and Gary Lysa; and extended family members. She was a life long member of the Apalachin United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank the Apalachin Volunteer Ambulance Squad, the staff at Wilson ICU and the staff at Troy Community Hospital for their wonderful care. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to honor Charlene's life on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Apalachin, Pennsylvania Avenue, Apalachin, NY. The Rev. Mary Jean Simonin will officiate. Burial will be at the family's convenience. The family will receive friends at the church, Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make contributions in Charlene's memory to the memorial fund at the Apalachin United Methodist Church.
