Obituary of Virginia L. Jones

Virginia L. Jones 1925-2023 Virginia Jones, 98, of Endicott, passed away on Sunday September 10, 2023 at her home. She was predeceased by her husband Harland Jones in 2005, parents, Francis and Josephine Gumaer, a brother, Donald (Helen), and a sister Romaine (Robert). She is survived by daughters; Cindy Jones and Jo-Ann Ash. Three Grandchildren; Budd Ash(Pat), Craig Ash(Karen) and Sherry Barton(Gary). Five great-grandchildren; David Ash, Erika Ash (David), Brittany Brearley (Brent), Zachary Barton (Kelley) and Gary Robinson III (Benita). Eight great great-grandchildren; Lexibella Quezada, Eli Quezada, Gloriann Quezada, Briella Brearley, Liam White, Marlee and Layla Barton and Mason Robinson. Nephews James Seip (Linda), Donald Gumaer (Janet), Gary Dymond and nieces; Maryanne Fritas, Gail Sivera and Susan Jones. Virginia loved her family and always attended family gatherings. She enjoyed line dancing, shuffleboard and delivering Meals On Wheels and was an active member of Post 1700 American Legion Auxiliary. She and her husband owned Jones' Lamp Shop for over 30 years. It first started in their home and later moved to Duane Avenue. Services will be at the convenience of the family and burial at Vestal Hills Cemetery.
