Paul Raymond Avery, 94, of Westminster Apartments, Vestal, NY, went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2023. Paul was born March 8, 1929, in Endicott, NY, to Raymond and Mable Avery. He married Mildred Pifer in 1950 and served in the US Air Force from 1952-1956. They settled in Endwell, NY where he worked at IBM from 1956-1984. Following retirement, he enjoyed working in his garden, spending time with his family, volunteering at Willow Point Nursing Home, and serving at Bethel Baptist Church.

Paul will be greatly missed by his two sons and their wives, Raymond and Margie of Johnson City, NY, Gary and Gene, of Land O Lakes, FL, his five grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, along with his brother Donald (and Pat) of Bath, PA, numerous friends and family.

He was predeceased by Mildred, his sister Ruth (Olver) of Honesdale, PA, and his stepsister Mabel Stalker of Vestal, NY.

The memorial service for Paul Raymond Avery will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 300 N. Jensen Rd., Vestal, NY, on Saturday, September 30, at 11:00am. The family will receive friends preceding the Memorial service.
