Obituary of Anthony F. Zembek

Anthony "Tony" Frank Zembek, 86, of Endicott, NY, a loving husband, father of 3 boys and a US Army veteran, died peacefully on September 20, 2023, at Mercy House of the Southern Tier, after a brief illness. Anthony worked for the IBM-Owego federal systems division for 37 years before taking early retirement. He was a volunteer with the Union Volunteer Emergency Squad, and for over 25 years with the Southern Tier AIDS Program. Anthony was a member of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Maine, NY, for over 35 years. He is predeceased by his father and mother Frank and Mary Jane Zembek (nee Harlost) and his wife Sharon Zembek (nee O'Neill). His three sons survive Anthony; Timothy of California, Todd, of Florida, Sean (Melissa) of Apalachin; three grandchildren Jessica Wieboldt (Michael), Kaitlyn & Zachary Zembek and two great grandchild John Michael & Lucy Sharon Wieboldt. We will hold a viewing at Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main Street, Endicott, NY on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 2:00 p.m.—5:00 p.m. We will hold a funeral service on Monday, September 25th at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Calvary Cemetery, 501 Fairview St., Johnson City, New York, 13790, followed by the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anthony's honor to Mercy House of the Southern Tier, 212 N McKinley Ave, Endicott, NY 13760.
