Obituary of Sue Ann Sines
Sue Ann Sines (Ingersoll), 74, of Endicott, New York, passed away on September 26, 2023, at her home in Endicott, New York.
Sue Ann Sines was born in Endicott, New York, to Kenneth Fay Ingersoll and Jimmie Mae Bogart on August 25, 1949. She attended Owego Free Academy High School, where she was voted Homecoming Queen by her peers in 1968. Sue went on to work as a realtor and later for the Department of Social Services until she retired.
When Sue Ann was younger, she loved ice skating and told many stories of skating all day with her siblings. Sue Ann had many talents; she played the piano and painted beautiful florals and signs for her outdoor lawn and garden areas. She was an exceptional cook and baker. Sue Ann would create dozens upon dozens of beautifully decorated sugar cookies, homemade fudge, chocolate cookies, and loaves of bread to give to family and friends each holiday. She was quick-witted and loved playing cards or a round of trivia. She loved to sew and made many quilts and blankets over the years.
Sue Ann Sines is survived by her husband, Rodney Sines, of Endicott, New York; her son, Miles (Genevieve) Walsh of Keswick, Virginia; her daughter, Melora (Devon) Loffreto, of Long Island, New York; grandchild, Zhen Loffreto, of Long Island, New York; brother, Keenan (Marlene) Ingersoll, of Friendsville, Pennsylvania; sisters, Sandy (Tom) Walsh, of Apalachin, New York, Mindy Axel, of California, Denise (Mike) Slovak, of South Carolina, Leslie (David) Watkins, of New York, Diane (Thomas) DeMayo of Oregon; nieces, Carrie (Jim) Wood of New York, Amanda Ingersoll of New York; Sarah Watkins of Arizona; Jessica (Colin) Ryan of California; Rachael DeMayo of Oregon; nephews, Kenneth (Daniela) Ingersoll, of Florida, Spencer Ingersoll, of Florida; Matt Walsh of New York, Eli (Wendy)Walsh, of Apalachin, New York; Matt Watkins of New York, Benjamin Watkins, of New York; Chris (Lindsey) Slovak, of California; Mike (Chelsea) DeMayo, of Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Fay Ingersoll, and Jimmie Mae Bogart, of Apalachin, New York; stepfather, Leslie Bogart, of Apalachin, New York; ex-husband, Donald Walsh, of New York; mother-in-law, Rose Walsh of Vestal, New York; brother-in-law, Rob Axel, of California; nephew-in-law, Andrew Rothman, of New York.
A private celebration of Sue Ann's life will be held in October for immediate family and friends.
