Obituary of Albert P. Gana

Albert P. Gana of Little Meadows Albert P. Gana, 86, beloved father and grandfather, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010, after a brief illness. Albert was born January 11, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Josephine; and brothers, Frank, John, and Steven. He is survived by four sons, John and Marsha, Little Meadows, PA, James and Valerie, Whitney Point, NY, Joseph and Sharon, Little Meadows, PA Andrew, Little Meadows, PA; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters, Pauline, Helen and Mary; and two brothers, George and Stanley. Albert was a WWII Veteran serving as a Sergeant in the7th Fighter Squadron in the Pacific. He was a member of the Little Meadows Volunteer Fire Dept. and enjoyed his flea markets and photography. We wish to thank the Warren Center Senior Center for their compassionate and generous companionship and the Montrose Office of Aging staff and volunteers for their ongoing assistance and care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Little Meadows Rescue Squad, PO Box 329, Little Meadows, PA 18830. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 6-8 p.m. at Coleman & Daniels, Rt. 434 Apalachin, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 11, at 10 a.m. from St. Thomas Church, Little Meadows, PA.
