Obituary of Donna J. Darrah

Donna J Darrah (Shultz) 82, of Apalachin ended her journey on earth on January 24, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents William and Maybelle Shultz, along with all her siblings. She is survived by her children Amy Darrah, Tammy (John) Darrah, Donald (Stephanie) Darrah, and William (Genna) Darrah. She is also survived by her husband Henry Darrah and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Donna worked at Phila Sales, Endicott where she worked as a cashier downstairs in the toy department. Anyone who knew her, would know her love for Elvis Presley. She had a blanket of him hanging right next to her bed where she could keep her eye on him. She was a loving and caring person who always put others needs above her own. She always dropped what she was doing to go help anyone else. She will be cherished by many, but will always be cherished by her daughter, Amy, who cared for her for many years and followed through with her wishes, including her wish to remain at home until the very end. A special thanks goes out to Kristy Motsko for the help of her care. Without your help it would have been tough to keep her wishes to remain at home, and also for picking flowers all the time to help brighten her day. Thanks also to Amber, Sammie and Danielle who always dropped what they were doing to help with her care or just to bring her a simple flower or ice cream cone or her favorite donut to light up her eyes. Thank you to all of Lourdes Hospice and staff for their kindness and care. Very special thanks to Nikki B, for all she has done and said to make things easier to help with the loss of a loved one.
