Obituary of Sally A. Lane

On February 2, 2024, Sally (Brown) Lane, loving mother of five children passed away at age 94 in Apalachin, NY. Sally was preceded in death by husband of 50 years, Joseph R. Lane, son Jamie Michael Lane, mother and father Kenneth and Anne Brown, sister Patricia Vail and brother Kenneth Brown Jr. She is survived by sons Garry Lane (Nancy Hawken), Kevin Lane (Kelly), daughters Laurie Lane and Jody Zimmer (David). She is also survived by grandchildren, Colin Beach (Sara Kaye), Rory Lane (Bethany), Mariah Bubel (Adam), Sarah Olinger (Billy), Samantha Sandford (Michael), Jordan Lane, and Kylee Lane. Also surviving are 10 great grandchildren, Laney and Adeline Bubel, Grayson, Camden, Ava and Emerson Lane, Ashlyn Olinger, Teddy and Charlie Sandford, Alice Bray, Sisters Kay Yarrington of Vestal, Judith (Bill) Baker of Charlotte, NC, Brother Frank (Paulette) Brown of Tucson Arizona, and her favorite grand dog Georgia. A life well lived, Sally was the devoted matriarch of a close and loving family. She found her greatest joy surrounded by not only her family, but also the many close and dear friends from her years as a golfer and member of En-Joie Golf Club. Special thanks to the palliative care team at General Hospital. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday February 8, 2024 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Vestal. Burial will be in Riverhurst Cemetery, Endwell. The family will receive friends at the Church Thursday morning from 10 AM until service time at 11.
