My wife Audrey and I would like extend our most sincere condolences to Virgil's family and to his dear friends. I knew Virgil since he was a child, having known his mother Grace for most of my life. I will always remember him as being that happy kid, always goofing around when he had the chance. Then, I got to watch Virgil grow up along with the rest of his siblings to become a fine young man. Unfortunately, I did not get to see much of Virgil after he left for Binghamton many years ago. Since then, I would periodically ask his mom about him and she would proudly tell me how well he was doing "upstate". When I finally did get to see Virgil again while he was visiting in NYC, he was still the same nice, polite guy that I had always remembered him to be. We also had the privilige of meeting Virgil's kids back in 2015. Virgil will now be another bright star in the sky, looking down on us. He will be missed. REST IN PEACE.

My deepest condolences to family & friends. Although I had just met Virgil upon the birth of Stella (our grandaughter, his precious Etrellita), I grieve as though I've known him much longer. Tragically, he was taken so young and far Too soon. Virgil will be missed and his memory will live on in the hearts of so many. Much love Abuelo! RIP Virgil Chastine

I did not know Virgil but I live in Binghamton and heard the tragic news. Reading his obituary let me learn that he was a very special man with strong family values.
I pray his loved ones find comfort and peace in his absence. God bless.
