Obituary of Madeline Battaglini

Madeline (DelVillano) Battaglini, 90, of Endicott, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 with her loving daughter by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Verino and Julia DelVillano, her son Michael Battaglini, and her siblings, Bruno, Frances, Fannie and Nickie. She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Edward, her daughter, Rebecca (Craig) English, daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Battaglini and her absolute pride and joy ... her grandchildren: Melissa (Rocco) Greco, Matthew (Brittney) Battaglini, Julianne (Jonathan) Jones, Anthony Battaglini and Nicholas English. Great grandchildren: Ava, Dominic, and Marcus Greco, Nora Battaglini, and Georgia and Emmy-Madeline Jones. Madeline graduated from Binghamton Central High School where she was involved in numerous activities. She was proud of her class notable "Class Dancer" as well as her title, "Captain of the cheering squad". Madeline was an outstanding cook and baker, and loved sharing her food with family and friends, especially at her Monday night dinners. She was an avid fan of all sports, but had a special fondness for Derek Jeter and her NY Yankees. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 701 W. Main Street, Endicott at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends at the Church at 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
