Obituary of Linda E. Sickler

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we bid farewell to our cherished wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and beloved friend. Linda E. Sickler (Mimi) departed from our lives unexpectedly on June 10, 2024. Born October 8, 1947, Linda graced this world with her presence and left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was a beacon of love, compassion and kindness, radiating warmth and joy wherever she went. Her unwavering strength and gentle spirit were an inspiration to all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her. She made friends wherever she went and was loved by all who knew her. Linda worked as an IT Director throughout the Southern Tier at UHS, Lourdes Hospital and Amphenol, and as a contractor for many other companies throughout her IT career. She continued to be in touch with those she worked with, as the friendships she made lasted for a lifetime. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling all over NYS with her friends for lunches and shopping. She also enjoyed planning family trips to Maine, the Outer Banks, Ocean City, Lake George and anywhere we wanted to go. As a wife, mother, Mimi and friend, Linda exemplified unconditional love and selflessness. She poured her heart and soul into nurturing her children, grandchildren and friends. She showered each of them with wisdom, laughter, and cherished memories. Her presence brought immense joy and enriched their lives in countless ways, creating a tapestry of love that will be treasured for generations to come. Holidays will never be the same, but Linda (Mimi) made every holiday memorable for all. She instilled family traditions that will be carried on for generations to come. Above all, Linda was a devoted wife, a soulmate, and a lifelong companion to Carl. Her enduring love and devotion were the cornerstone of a partnership built on mutual respect, trust, and unwavering support. Together, they weathered life's storms, sharing in both triumphs and tribulations, united by a bond that transcended time. Linda was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Evelyn Colvin and brother Jimmy.
